Heritage Festival
Second Annual Crisfield Heritage Festival

Kid's activities, entertainment, food, arts and craft vendors and live demonstrations - all showcasing the Chesapeake Bay culture of Crisfield - will be part of the festivities. Admission is FREE. The festival will be held behind the J.M. Tawes Historical Museum and Somers Cove Marina.
Kid's activities: painting, sand art, boat building, a fishing pond, and a scavenger hunt.
Demonstrations: Crab pot making, net making, decoy carving, fish cleaning, oyster shucking, crab picking, cooking, baking a Smith Island cake, and more.
Exhibits: Model boats, paintings, duck decoys, a fish market, and others.
Also during the festival, the Crisfield Heritage Foundation will announce the recipients of the Second Annual Legacy Award and Fourth Annual Heritage Awards. The public is invited to submit the names of individuals and organizations who have demonstrated a lasting impact on - or made a significant contribution to - the Crisfield community. Award nomination forms can be downloaded below or picked up at the Tawes Museum . Nominations must be received by August 31st.
